UV Filter Sunscreen
Meteorologically, it is still winter in the Northern Hemisphere. However, the first rays of the sun are already visible. The demand for UV Filter sunscreen will therefore increase rapidly in the upcoming months. We take you into a brief description of the UV sunscreens and our additives.
History
Since the UV sunscreen (a mixture of cinnamates and salicylate) was first used in 1928, hundreds of UV absorbers have been developed around the world. Among them, UV absorbers developed into benzophenones, benzotriazoles and triazines. Firstly, UV absorbers are organic compounds that can prevent polymer degradation caused by sunlight. Secondly, it prevents other artificial ultraviolet light as well. The UV absorbers are highly light resistant. In our previous article about UV absorbers in cosmetic industry we explained the function to absorb the UV rays.
